1. The service
RentSys is a software system that helps rental businesses manage their item catalog, run time-based rentals, capture renter details, and view sales and history. We provide the software; you run your own rental business using it.
2. Your account & responsibilities
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share a single login across people — add staff as members instead.
- You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account and your members' accounts.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use RentSys only for lawful purposes and not to misuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data. You may not resell or redistribute the service without our written permission.
4. Payments & fees
- Setting up a shop requires a one-time registration fee, shown at checkout.
- Additional member slots for staff logins are available as separate one-time purchases.
- All payments are processed by our payment provider, Xendit. Fees are non-refundable — see our Refund Policy.
- You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your own rental business.
5. Your data & content
You retain ownership of the data you enter — your items, rentals, and renter records. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from your renters before entering their personal information or ID photos, and for handling that information lawfully. How we process data is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Availability & changes
We work to keep RentSys available and reliable, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may update, add, or remove features over time.
7. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or that puts the service or other users at risk. You may stop using the service at any time.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RentSys is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
